SiBionics showcased their new GS3 CGM, now approved with the CE mark at this year’s ATTD.

The GS3 features an ultra-compact design with a thickness of just 2.9 mm—comparable to a small coin—and weighs just 1.5 grams, making it “almost unnoticeable when worn,” according to the company. It also boasts a rapid three-second activation for seamless use.

Designed for broad smartphone compatibility, the CGM offers three connection methods, including NFC-enabled pairing that allows users to connect with a simple tap. SiBionics has also integrated AI-driven analytics to enhance glucose data interpretation and improve self-management. Additionally, GS3 can link directly to smartwatches and receivers, catering to diverse user preferences. Ongoing algorithm updates further optimize monitoring accuracy and stability.

“With the launch of GS3, SiBionics continues to lead CGM innovation, aiming to provide a lighter, more precise, and smarter glucose monitoring experience for people with diabetes worldwide,” the company stated in a press release.

Due to a patent dispute with Abbott, SiBionics cannot currently distribute its CGMs in Germany, France, the Netherlands, and Ireland.
